Creating these random scenes have really helped me in developing a story for this character. It's become really fun and is now my main project that I work on when not dealing with other things.

New clothes
I don't have any new clothes although I feel like I should. Most of them are pretty old and filled with pretty boring colors. Blue jeans, mostly black shirts with a few dress shirts thrown in. Anyways, the sketches below are some of my characters with a slightly new look. From left to right, Grabrielle, Josephine, and Gontaro.
This image is just a scene I quickly painted of Josephine running/leaping away.Crossover
Was hanging out with Kevin White last week at one of the local coffee joints. We had a little sketch session where we went back and forth on a drawing. Turned out pretty nice so there'll probably be more of it posted on our blogs. The portrait is just something I fiddled around with while he had control of the paper. You can find more of Kevin's stuff over at Umami Design

Tough Toph
Work in progress of my painting of Toph from Avatar The Last Airbender. Had problems with one of the legs, but did some sneaking editing magic to fix it. Still have more detail to had and will probably change the background around her body to be more lighter.

Brain push ups
Well St. Patty's day is pretty much over. Had a few green beers, but I was mostly sippin on my good ol' Killians. Was a good time hangin with the friends, but it's time to sit my butt back in this chair and do some work. The past few weeks have been my brain has been getting a bit of exercise. Did a few things to loosen up but probably won't finish.
Messing around with some brushes in SAI. No reference used, but the exaggerated proportions are on purpose.
...don't know what to say about this, just sorta came out.Another self portrait
Yoko from Gurren LagannMy original character Gabrielle. Just experimenting with styles on this one.

Wednesday's doodle
She is running away from someone, but she tripped and fell. That's how it usually happens in almost every movie where someone is getting chased right? I don't think I've ever fallen when someone chased me. Maybe that's just me. But I do however have those dreams where it's hard for me to run, almost like I'm running on quicksand. So I'll fall constantly. Maybe that's what they're trying to mimic in movies?

Chibi quickie
Playing around waiting for a friend to message me back about watching a movie tonight. I think they forgot it was supposed to be today so it looks like I'll be chilling at home for the evening. -_- I think I'm done being productive today though, time for some chinese and a movie on my own. The only problem I think I have is do I wanna watch action or comedy?
Was done in photoshop cs2, apprx 30 mins.

Snow days
Woke up to having a snow day so of course that means more time for drawing. Of course I was already on my way to school before I found out they closed because of the snow. Sunny and kinda warm yesterday, no snow on the roads...snow day today and the roads are covered. I'm not really complaining about the snow day, but I still have to go in and work tonight 5-2am. Anyways, decided to get my brain moving and I did this as a lil warm up. I actually wanted to play around on real canvas today, but as I was stretching the canvas the staple gun decided not to cooperate. *shakes fist*

Showing my blog some love.
So I was asked recently if I have a blog, and that of course made me remember. I DO have a blog, but it's a been a while since I've visited it. So here are a few things I've done recently except for these first 2.
This is something I did at work on the back of a placemat with some ink pens and some tea to tint the paper and make the pens bleed a little. This actually inspired me to do the one below it and even though I like the second one I did, I'm still loving this doodle just a bit more.
I recently had a friend model for me to have some reference photos for some things I'm working on. This is a speed painting I did using one of the photos as ref. In the second pic I decided to add a red tint to the texture on the top layer and it gave it a nice bloody effect.
A logo I did recently for my cousins radio show.
And a couple of more doodles playing around with some of the same ideas I used in the logo above.
A sketch I did to practice some coloring.
Was looking at photos of beaches one day and did a quick 15min study of one of them.
